Evidence-based Practice: Searching for evidence Online
This session will help you understand evidence-based practice and teach you how to find primary and secondary evidence including different study designs for your assessment tasks:
- Explore the Levels of Evidence pyramid and different kinds of study designs and levels of evidence
- CINAHL Ultimate and Medline – how to conduct advanced searching using PICO search framework and to select study types (primary & secondary)
- Briefly show where to find the Cochrane library of systematic review and the JBI Evidence based practice database to find systematic reviews.
