Systematic reviews - new trends, new resources In-Person

This presentation by Associate Professor Edoardo Aromataris (Director, Synthesis Science) from the Joanna Briggs Institute will:

  • introduce the key elements and purpose of a systematic review

  • discuss the evolving range of review types, including umbrella reviews, rapid reviews etc

  • emphasise the increased use in disciplines beyond health (including the social sciences, humanities and life sciences)

  • outline some search frameworks (beyond PICO) that can be used within such reviews eg. CoCoPop, SPIDER etc

  • showcase SUMARI, the JBI tool designed to assist researchers who undertake systematic reviews
